Golden Milk Dalgona Boba Latte (Vegan, GF, RSF, High Protein)

Writer: KellyKelly

Boba recipe #2 and dalgona recipe #3! This dalgona golden milk boba latte combines three specialty beverages: golden milk, boba (bubble tea), and dalgona (whipped coffee- or whipped golden milk in this case). This dalgona-bubble tea hybrid has rich caramel notes and is infused with cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger. It's lusciously thick, smooth, and creamy with chewy, sticky, syrupy turmeric tapioca pearls. All homemade, and believe it or not: the tapioca pearls don't have to be made with tapioca starch! They can be made with arrowroot starch or cornstarch instead (the ones in photos are made with arrowroot). This drink can be served hot, cold, or iced, and you can just make the golden milk, just the boba, just the dalgona, or mix and match however you #goldenmilk. And this isn't merely empty calories here. This drink is actually quite rich in protein, fiber, antioxidants, healthy fats, and iron, thanks to nutrient-dense ingredients like turmeric, maca root powder, pea protein, homemade pumpkin seed milk, and coconut oil. So get a hand whisk, grab a boba straw, and find your favorite mug because it's golden milk time!

My other boba recipe is my Barbie Boba (pink dragon fruit prickly pear flavored) and my two other dalgonas are my Dalgona Matcha and my Dalgona Charcoal Latte (which I dubbed "The Stella" after my first cattle dog baby, based on the colors matching her markings).

This recipe combines the greatness of golden milk, boba, and dalgona for something truly indulgent yet healthy. Lots of textures, flavors, and consistencies to keep it interesting.

And it's surprisingly do-able, even if you've never made homemade tapioca pearls before.

Like all my recipes, this boba is vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar free, and naturally colored. And this is a surprisingly nutrient dense drink.

If you like golden milk- or even if you don't think you like turmeric- you have to try this beverage. Feeling overwhelmed about it? In actuality it's a really approachable recipe! Seriously, just start with the golden milk portion of it or just make the tapioca pearls + syrup to add to your milk tea, plant milk, or drink of choice.
